Have we failed Gen Z?

In today's fast-paced, technology-driven world, has current education model failed Generation Z? Have we left them ill-prepared for the modern workplace? As digital natives, these young individuals should be leading the charge in digital literacy but, lets be honest, our schools have not kept up with the times.

Educational systems have long prioritized traditional subjects like math, science, and literature, but often overlook the importance of digital skills. Gen Z students are left to navigate the digital landscape without the proper guidance or tools needed to excel in today's workforce.

The lack of digital literacy in curriculums not only hinders Gen Z's employability but also stifles creativity and innovation, in a work place that often prioritises these skills. Imagine the potential of these young minds if they were taught to harness the power of technology and use it to their advantage!

It's high time we recognize the urgency of this situation and revamp our education model to cater to the needs of our tech-savvy youth. By incorporating digital literacy courses and experiential learning opportunities, we can equip Generation Z with the skills they need to thrive in the modern workplace and beyond. Will we learn from our mistake with this generation? The advent of fast pace work place technology such as chatgpt and the rise of A.I tools, offers a miriad of creative options. Rather than banning them in schools, shouldnt we be finding a way to leverage them forn our students?
